Tom Berman is the President and CEO of Nano Magic Inc. (nanomagic.com), a publicly traded nanotechnology company that develops innovative and advanced surface solutions harnessing the magic power of nanotechnology to create a safer, more socially conscious, and higher performing world. Prior to leading Nano Magic, Tom graduated from Detroit Country Day School, Michigan State University and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Straight out of law school Tom founded Berman Law, PLLC, a general practice law firm and he eventually served as Bedrock Detroit’s initial General Counsel and “Parking Guru”. Tom left the practice of law to join Ascion, LLC d/b/a Reverie, a Michigan based Sleep Technology company as its Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. Besides business, Tom is passionate about public service and charity. Tom was elected and served one term from 2016-2018 on the Oakland County Board of Commissioners. Prior to serving as a Commissioner, Tom was a member of the Keego Harbor City Council from 2013-2016. Tom is a past President of the Michigan Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (“CCF”) and Tom has been on the Leaders for Kids Advisory Board since 2017 and was most recently the Chairperson in 2023. Tom lives in Sylvan Lake, Michigan with his wife Jenny, and his two daughters, Alexis and Olivia.
